Phyto (Plant) Nutrients

We formulated our Missing Link products for companion animals with the intention of providing the essential fatty acids in the optimum ratio, to support and enhance digestive health, and to promote the function of the immune system.  Our products are the result of careful selection of “designer foods.”  There are hundreds of naturally occurring phytochemicals in our supplements.*

The Missing Link line of supplements is formulated to deliver the perfect ratio of essential omega oils (omega 3, omega 6, and omega 9) in combination with insoluble and soluble fiber, flaxseed lignans, and a broad spectrum of other phytochemicals, including naturally occurring traces of vitamins and minerals.

Phyto (plant) nutrients contain fiber, carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, but also many phytochemicals.

Phytochemicals are natural chemicals synthesized by plants (fruits, vegetables, grains and herbs) for growth and protection from insects and environmental hazards.  Phytochemicals are also called designer foods, functional foods or nutraceuticals.  These remarkable plant molecules have an amazing spectrum of health-benefiting properties.

Benefits of Phytochemicals

Phytochemicals have anti-rheumatic, anti-allergenic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-carcinogenic properties. They are recognized for their disease fighting properties. Therefore, they play an important role in strongly supporting the digestive and immune systems, and overall health.

We should learn from the plants!

Plants have armed themselves with phytochemicals that fight viruses, bacteria, and molds (fungi) - the causes of many illnesses and allergies.

Thousands of years ago we had whole foods with no pesticides or herbicides. However, people and animals had a short life. Why? Not only were environmental conditions hard, but also, people did not know enough about bacteria, viruses, etc.

It is not enough that the food or supplements we use in our daily diets are made from whole food, or that they are labeled as “organic”. They should be as microbiologically clean as possible, in addition to being pesticide and herbicide free. Therefore, our products are microbiologically and chemically safe.

Often customers ask us, "What is the magic of the Missing Link?"

It is the product formula, combined with our best knowledge, love, and hard work!
