Lemon Balm

Lemon Balm is native to the Mediterranean region and is now grown in western Asia, the United States, and Europe. The medicinal use of lemon balm has been documented since Ancient Greek and Roman times. The hydroalcoholic lemon balm extract is a central nervous system sedative in animal studies. However, the essential oil content does not appear to play a role in this activity.
