DUKE - The Rhodesian Ridgeback

We have a beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback hound, Duke, who is 8 years old. He began having hip and joint problems at about age 6 and slowly became increasingly crippled and nearly immobile. By 7 years old he was in such awful pain he would yelp if you even just walked passed him near his hindquarters and it was heartbreaking to see his suffering.

We checked with two vets. One said to euthanize him with no other option or hope of recovery and the other offered a very costly hip surgery, but made it clear it wasn't guaranteed and an enormous gamble. If it wasn't successful, in order to be humane, we'd still be forced to put him to sleep as soon as failure of the surgery was evident.

Then a pet supply clerk recommended The Missing Link Plus and told us it worked wonders. While we were skeptical of her claims, we decided we would pay $25 to try and perhaps keep him more comfortable for just a few more weeks while we said goodbye and prepared ourselves for his inevitable euthanization.

Within just one week on The Missing Link Plus he was showing improvement. After three weeks he was running around without pain or limping, just like he used to before he got arthritis. He also became much happier. I presume this is due to relief from his year of decline into constant and intense pain.
