I have been buying The Missing Link Plus through a full service veterinarian who recommended it since early 2004.
I have been doing serious animal rescue for over 20 years. On July 5, 2003, I rescued a large, mature, neutered male Rottweiler from our local county shelter, as his owners failed to redeem him. Every time he would get out of his poorly fenced yard he would go down the street and hang out with the children in the school yard. The school got tired of taking him home and called animal control to pick him up. He tested heart-worm positive. If he could not get into a rescue group he would be euthanized. I treat heart-worm positive dogs, as they deserve a second chance. I named this boy Wotan, the German counterpart of the Nordic god Odin. Not only was Wotan heart-worm positive, he also had whip-worms so badly he was dewormed three times before he produced a clean fecal test. Wotan had poor confirmation. His rear end was small, the back legs were straight, and he had a huge muscular front end. Wotan decided he wanted to remain with me. He never did well with any meet and greet applicants.
It was clear early on that Wotan had rear end joint mobility discomfort. Even though I gave him an elevated resting platform with a covered 2" foam pad and a folded full size quilt on top of that, whenever he was outside he still got up like an old man, hardly able to move. My full service veterinarian said I could try The Missing Link Plus, but no guarantees. I was astonished! Wotan got 2 tablespoons of The Missing Link Plus on his breakfast every day. In 2 months, not only was Wotan getting up like a normal dog without groaning, but he was running across the yard and leaping on me when I came home. He also was choosing to lie directly on the cold, damp concrete instead of his bedding. That was over six years ago and I have used The Missing Link Plus on all the dogs' food every day since then.
Woton passed away December 21, 2008, but the rescue dogs and my own dogs, young and old, still get The Missing Link Plus. I have included a The Missing Link brochure in each canine adoption package since 2004. I tell each adopting family why I recommend this product.
Thank you for making a fine Made in the USA product!
